Heico Sportiv Tricks Out the All-New Volvo V60

Come later this month at the Essen Motor Show (26th November - 5th December 2010) in Germany, Volvo tuning specialist Heico Sportive will unveil its performance and styling bits for the Swedish automaker's all-new V60. The tuning program for the station wagon model carries the same upgrades as the S60 sedan.

On the styling side, the German tuning firm mounts a front spoiler on the original front bumper and a rear skirt with a diffuser that also houses the new tailpipes of the quad outlet exhaust. The menu also contains sport springs that lower the ride height and a choice of 18- or 20-inch multispoke alloy wheels.

Under the hood, there are various options, depending on the type of engine. For now, Heico Sportive offers a power kit for the 2.0 turbocharged gasoline unit, which adds an extra 47bhp and 50Nm of torque, and another one for the T6 engine that boost output to 330bhp and 460Nm. The tuning house said that further programs for the T3, T4 and T5 engine variants are under development.

Volvo Launches Limited Edition S60 T6 Design 330HP by Heico Sportiv

Hot on the heels from last week's presentation of Heico Sportiv's tuning program for the new S60, Volvo's European division today announced the launch of a limited edition version of the T6 sedan model, all spruced up by the tuning specialists at Heico Sportiv. Only 100 units of the Black Sapphire metallic special edition will be available in Europe, each priced at €63,968, equivalent to US$82,000. We assume pricing is for the German market, since Volvo did not get into any specific details.

If you've read about Heico Sportiv's S60 package in our previous post, then there's nothing really new to add other than that the Volvo limited edition gets a special plaque inside which identifies the specific production number of the car.

The factory-approved S60 T6 Design by Heico Sportiv receives an upgrade to the six-cylinder turbo petrol engine, offering a 26HP boost, from 304HP to 330-horsepower, while torque has also been improved to 460 Nm over 2100-4500rpm.

The engine is mated to Volvo's Geartronic transmission and according to the Swedes, the car accelerates from 0-100km/h (62 mph) in 5.8 seconds and reaches an electronically controlled top speed of 250km/h (155 mph).

The average consumption is 10.3 lt per 100km (22.8mpg US), which corresponds to CO2 emissions of 239 g/km (provisional figures).

To further improve handling on the T6 sedan that comes with standard all-wheel drive, the tuner fitted new sports springs which lower the car's ride height by 30mm.

Exterior goodies include 19-inch Diamond cut alloys shod in Pirelli rubber and a two-part front spoiler and rear diffuser bumper made of light plastic and carbon fibre. Inside, the Heico Sportiv version gains aluminum trimmed gear-knob and sport pedals.

Heico Sportiv works over the 2011 Volvo S60, Offers Power Boost for 2.0T and T6 Models

We've already had a first look at Heico Sportiv's package of goodies for the all-new 2011 Volvo S60, but the German company finally released a full set of photos and details surrounding its tuning program that includes styling and performance enhancements for the Swedish sedan.

Heico Sportive starts by upgrading the S60's exterior with a two-piece front spoiler, a rear diffuser that's optionally available with carbon fiber inlays and a discreet boot lid spoiler. The sedan is also lowered and fitted with sport springs, a four-tail pipe sport exhaust system and 18- or 20-inch inch alloy rims wrapped in low-profile rubber. Interior options are limited to aluminum pedal set, footrest and gear shift knob.

Under the hood, the tuner offers ECU upgrades for both the S60 2.0T and T6 petrol models. The 2.0-liter turbo engine receives a 47bhp and 50Nm boost for a total of 297bhp and 350Nm of peak torque.

In the AWD T6 version, output is lifted to 330bhp and 463Nm, which allows the Swedish sedan to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h (62mph) in 5.8 seconds (down from the standard car's 6.8 sec) and reach an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h (155mph).

The German aftermarket company said it is also readying a recalibrated ECU for the T3, T4 and T5 variants of the new S60.

Heico Sportiv Teases 2011 Volvo S60 Sedan Tuning Program

With first deliveries of the all-new Volvo S60 just right around the corner, it's high time for the German aftermarket gurus at Heico Sportiv to ready their performance and aero enhancements for the much-promising Swedish sedan.

Today, the tuning firm released the first drawings and illustrations of their package for the new S60. Exterior mods include lip spoilers on both corners of the front bumper, side skirts, a discreet boot lid spoiler and a rear apron housing a diffuser. The new exhaust tail pipes and Heico's own alloy wheels will also be part of the package.

While we don't have a lot more in the way of details, Heico said that it is also working on a suspension kit and power upgrades that will boost output up to 330-horsepower.

Limited Edition Volvo V70 T6 AWD R-Design with 325HP by Heico Sportiv

Heico Sportiv has been putting together more stylish and powerful Volvos for over a decade. Now, the tuning firm has once again joined forces with Volvo to create a special edition version of the V60 T6 estate for the German market. It goes on sale this summer with a hefty €70,193 [about US$87,000] price tag in a limited run of just 100 copies, all in a metallic sapphire black shade.

This V70 T6 AWD R-Design is motivated by the firm's 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6 upgraded with a recalibrated ECU and a sport exhaust system that cranks out 325HP and a maximum torque of 460 Nm / 339 lb-ft, a jump of 21HP and 20Nm over stock. The engine is matched to a six-gear automatic gearbox with geartronic function.

Volvo says the estate accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62mph) in 5.9 seconds [standard model: 6.9 seconds], and reached an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155mph). Average fuel consumption is 10.6 lt / 100 km, equal to 22.2 mpg US.

Heico Sportiv also treated the V70 T6 AWD with a sport suspension that lowers the estate's ride height by 30mm or 1.2 inches, and big 19-inch alloy wheels complete with 245/35 R19 Pirelli tires. The car also comes with an extra set of original Volvo R-Design 18-inch wheels with Pirelli winter tires.

Aside from the standard R-Design package that includes color-coded door sills and bumpers, roof spoiler, mirror casings in a matt chrome finish and chrome applications for the fog-lamp surrounds, the special edition V70 also gets chrome exhaust tips and a special trunk emblem.

The R-Design package's interior fittings include, among others, sport leather upholstery in anthracite with inlaid quartz-beige contours, R-Design aluminum inlays, multifunctional leather sport steering wheel, sport pedals and blue-background instruments. In addition, Heico Sportiv added aluminum door pins and a special edition plaque for the dashboard.
